Objective
- To promote and improve the quality of life, through excellence in therapeutic activity interventions within the long term care continuum.
- To promote and offer appropriate educational experiences, specifically directed to the Activity Profession in healthcare.
- To communicate and offer information related to activities, on current issues and trends in the profession.
- To develop working relationships with allied professional groups, consumer organizations, regulatory agencies and provide representatives in order to enhance and promote quality service.
- To monitor pertinent legislative matters and represent the New Jersey Activity Professional on a State Level.
- To promote public awareness of the scope and realm of the Activity Professional.
- To promote certification and professional growth within it membership through recognized certifying bodies such as the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals.
