Scholarship

NJAPA is offering a chance to Win a scholarship in the name of Kita Blinn or Lynne Beatty Wilkesman for our next scheduled Fall Forum to paid members. To be eligible, you must be a paid member attending our Spring Conference prior to the Fall Forum. Winner will be announced at our Spring Conference.

Keita Blinn

Keita Blinn Activity Professional Scholarship

Keita Blinn joined the New Jersey Activity Professionals Association in May 1997. She assumed the position of Education Chairman, bringing her expertise, knowledge, and the ability to understand the educational needs of the Activity Professional. The Keita Blinn Scholarship represents her dedication to the Activity Profession and the need for continuous education. Keita worked diligently to support the association’s committees wherever and however she could. In 2004, Keita served as the NJAPA Registration Chairman for 15 years. It is an honor to bestow the Keita Blinn Activity Professional Scholarship to an individual who is continuing their education in the field in which Keita respected and loved so very much for 28 years. NJAPA is proud to introduce the scholarship in her name.

Lynne Beatty

Lynne Beatty Wilkesman Activity Professional Scholarship

Lynne Wilkesman was a founding member of the New Jersey Activity Professionals Association in 1986. She served in the capacity of Treasurer and continued to volunteer on other committees as she was needed. Her love for the elderly with Alzheimer’s and related Dementia was her strength. Lynne was an Administrator working with the Alzheimer’s population while continuously volunteering with the Alzheimer’s Association, Second Wind Dream, and Stockton’s Gerontology students to fulfill their internship hours. She was always trying to make a difference. As an educator she not only worked at Stockton, she also taught arts, vision, and hearing loss for special services (certification and licensing for Activity Professions). Her knowledge and love for the Activity Profession impacted so many! The Lynne Beatty Wilkesman Activity Scholarship represents Lynne’s dedication, compassion, and sincere respect for the Activity Professional. NJAPA is honored to introduce the scholarship in her name.

To develop working relationships with allied professional groups, consumer organizations, regulatory agencies and provide representatives, in order to enhance and promote quality service.
